Charlie and Stacey set off to Telford for Danielle’s funeral. After a brief visit to Danielle’s house they go to the graveyard. Kneeling by Danielle’s empty grave, Stacey talks to her, taking photos, a holiday brochure and a prayer card from Dot out of a small box. Stacey feels guilty, she was too drunk the night Danielle died to convince her she didn’t need the Mitchells. Stacey turns away from the grave and sees Ronnie. Initially hostile, Stacey eventually tells Ronnie that Danielle loved her. The mourners file into the church, Andy tells Ronnie she’s not welcome. He closes the church doors shutting Ronnie out. Shirley plans a cold meat buffet and invites Phil. Garry, Minty, Dawn and Manda come to the buffet and Heather introduces herself to Manda as Minty’s wife. Phil doesn’t arrive and when Shirley finds him asleep at the Vic she suspects he’s been drinking. Theo and Chelsea almost get back together, but when Patrick asks Theo to leave Chelsea doesn’t argue. Libby’s still preoccupied by Tommy’s letter. Abi plans a romantic meal for Max and Tanya and is upset when Tanya tells her they need consider Lauren’s feelings - Abi needs to let Tanya sort things out with Max her own way. Lauren and Abi argue and a family photo gets smashed. Abi says she wishes Lauren wasn’t her sister. Distraught, Lauren runs to Peter. Pat’s suspicious of Dotty. It’s agreed Dot and Dotty will come to Pat’s for lunch. Pat bribes the children to behave and not move, but is dismayed when Liam, Tiffany and Morgan glue themselves to their chairs. Dot and Dotty leave in disgust. Back home, Dot hears an odd noise, tracks it down and finds Dotty’s phone.
