The DNA results are due and Roxy’s nervous. She’s called away and asks Christian to intercept the mail, but he fails. Roxy arrives at the hospital to find Sean holding Amy, who is off the ventilator. Later, Christian retrieves the results from the sorting office. Roxy finds a quiet place to open them, the hall, but is interrupted and hides the letter. Roxy happily tells Christian the baby is Sean’s, but when she returns to the hall the results aren’t there. Panicking, Roxy admits to Christian that she lied; Sean isn’t the father... Whitney keeps to her room, still refusing to speak to the police. Tony texts her, wanting to talk. Tony’s been released on bail and it’s not long before Bianca finds him in the kitchen. Whitney overhears Tony denying their relationship to Bianca, saying it wasn’t real, Whitney imagined it. He calls Bianca a bad mother. Whitney tells him to leave them alone and Ricky punches him. Tony flees. Tony meets Lucas in the square and Lucas rejects him. The police arrive and arrest Tony again. Whitney and Bianca hug. Whitney realises Tony lied to her about everything and agrees to talk to the police. Denise, holding a birthday cake, sees Lucas, and wrongly blames Phil and Ian for his injuries. Denise opens the youth club, but when Lucas arrives he wants to close it forever. Denise is disappointed that Lucas is giving up. She tells Pat that she fell for Kevin because he never gave up, today would have been his birthday. Denise tells Lucas she can’t be involved with a quitter, then changes her mind and goes to his flat. It’s empty, Lucas has gone. Trade is slow at the Masoods’ stall until Tamwar decides to tempt Christmas shoppers with a sauce perfect for leftover turkey.
