Jack’s going to be brought out of his coma; Dot thinks Billie should be there. Dot tells Max and Carol that Jack might have brain damage; Billie’s overhears and runs out upset. Later, the whole family, plus Roxy and Chelsea, gather outside Jack’s hospital room. Jack’s out of the coma and talking, but paralysed down the left hand side of his body. When Dot tells Jack he may never get completely better, Jack’s distress is obvious, and he shouts at Dot to get everyone away from him. The flat’s painted and Zainab’s happy - until Christian arrives with wallpaper. Zainab’s uneasy when she sees Christian and Syed talking. She suggests a romantic break to Amira, and is worried by her defensive reaction. Amira’s humiliated when Zainab buys her some lingerie and chocolate body paint from Mo. Masood and Zainab enjoy their body paint, but Amira’s attempts to seduce Syed fall flat. Gutted, Amira heads to the Vic, orders a vodka and asks Christian for advice on how to please Syed. Councillor Singh Walia’s standing down as councillor. Pat persuades Peggy to stand, but when Peggy uses all of Pat’s policy suggestions and none of her own, Pat decides to stand herself. Leon borrows money from Fat Boy to take Zsa Zsa to Fargos for a romantic dinner. Fat Boy joins them, Leon’s not impressed when he realises that Fat Boy’s ‘date’ fancies Zsa Zsa. Back home there’s a present for Zsa Zsa on the doorstep from ‘The Blue Masquerader’. Leon sees Fat Boy hanging around outside and wonders if he sent the gift. Ben sneaks home early from Holiday Club. Zsa Zsa notices a bruise on his arm. Later, outside the Minute Mart, a gang of girls, including ringleader Tasha, throw things at Ben, taunt and kick him.
