With the police having entered the pub to make an arrest, Ronnie sneaks out and makes away on her bike. The Mitchells find that Ronnie’s disappeared. An eavesdropping Janine listens on. She later reports Ronnie’s disappearance to Marsden. A smug Marsden arrives in search of Ronnie. Phil and Roxy nervously cover, but Ronnie suddenly appears. Marsden reveals that they’ve found new DNA and will be starting a screening process to finally prove who killed Archie. Somewhere, a gloved hand opens the lock of a drawer in a darkened room. In the drawer is Archie’s engagement ring. Marsden surveys everyone’s reactions as the police enter the pub. Jack confronts Marsden over Dot’s arrest; sure that it was her doing in order to provoke a reaction from her murder suspects and she’s clutching at straws. Everyone’s stunned as Dot’s arrested for assaulting Dotty. Sonia confronts Dotty about her abuse claims. Dotty’s unfazed; Dot needed to be taught a lesson. Incensed, Sonia points out that Dotty may be put into care as a result. Chastened, Dotty says she’ll retract her story. Meanwhile at the police station, Dot confesses to smacking Dotty. She’s later released without charge. A dejected Ricky confronts Bianca about sleeping with Leon. She denies the allegation to his relief. They watch Sonia’s DVD from the hen party to discover who did sleep with Leon. Bianca twigs that it was Lucy. Ricky later sits alone watching the DVD. He’s devastated to hear Bianca talking of how Nathan the best thing to have happened to her. Whitney dumps a heart-broken Todd. Minty apologises about Sam and tells Manda he wants a future with her. Manda reveals that she too would rather be with a Mitchell, having originally come in search of Phil. Not keen to be a consolation prize, Manda leaves.
