Ronnie returns home having been charged with assaulting a police officer. Marsden arrives to crow about Ronnie having marked herself as prime suspect. Ronnie confides in Phil about her fears of being framed and asks for his help to leave the country. Phil refuses; sure that Ronnie will make things worse for herself. During the party at the Vic, Marsden observes everybody. As police arrive, everyone looks nervous, anticipating an arrest. Ronnie sneaks out. Jack tells Max that Bradley must go to the police. Max argues that Jack’s eager for Bradley to confess in order to protect Ronnie. Jack insists that the police will get to Bradley eventually, and that its better he tells the truth before. He gives Max until 4pm to persuade Bradley to go to the police before he does. Max intercepts Jack outside the police station and implores him, as a brother, not to go in. It’s Dot and Jim’s wedding anniversary. Dot is wracked with guilt for having smacked Dotty. Dotty takes advantage of her guilt. Dot indulges Dotty’s demands, but Sonia cottons on to Dotty’s ploy and implores Dot not to allow herself to be manipulated. With Bradley increasingly agitated, Stacey encourages him to calm down before he arouses suspicion. In the pub, the police enter in search of the Branning table. Bradley freezes: they’re here for him. Ricky seeks out Zainab’s help to cook Bianca a surprise meal. Overhearing Bianca’s ungrateful reaction to Ricky’s romantic gesture, Zainab snaps and informs Ricky that Bianca slept with the stripper. Billie returns, much to Whitney’s delight. Todd’s dejected to see them flirting. Billie later hides a concealed object from his bag. Minty organises a romantic pottery evening for Manda. She confronts him about Sam and asks whether he still has feelings. His silence speaks volumes.
