Over in the cafe, Bianca and Zainab overhear DCI Marsden and DI Hughes talking about a new lead. Zainab is more interested in finding out who was in bed with Leon. Over at Janine’s, Pat clearly wants a break from Janine’s fussing. Ryan comes in and Pat notices that he looks at Janine with admiration and she gets an idea, she tells Janine she would like to go to the café with them both later. Later Peggy visits Pat, which Pat is clearly not thrilled about. Peggy makes digs about Janine but Pat defends her. Meanwhile Janine and Ryan are waiting for Pat in the café but she doesn’t turn up. Back at her flat, Janine accuses Pat of matchmaking. Pat explains she just needed some time alone but her comments make Janine suspicious that Pat has been out and heard some gossip, but Pat denies this. Janine later discovers Peggy’s glove and refuses to believe Pat that her visit was not planned. She thinks Pat does not believe her version of events about Archie. Janine packs Pat's bags, as she is moving back in with Bianca. Walking through the square Peggy tells Phil to ignore people’s comments as the truth will soon be out and she explains that the police have a new lead. She watches his reaction closely as she asks if he should be worried, he replies “No more than you.” Later in the Vic, Shirley lets Zsa Zsa know she can stay with them on a temporary basis. Heather arrives and tells Shirley that the police are apparently about to arrest someone. Ronnie is throwing away items from Archie’s box when she comes across a present for her. She opens it and finds a snow globe like the one from her childhood. Suddenly Ronnie knows what she has to do to take control. In the café, Leon is angry with Zsa Zsa for running off earlier. When he goes to the counter, Bianca gives him a private wink. Ronnie comes into the café and finds Zsa Zsa, Leon and Fat Boy, and she offers them money to paint over Archie’s poster. They agree and are about to start painting when Roxy sees them and tells them to stop. After a long day gossiping, Bianca sits down to rest her feet. As she takes her shoes off, amateur sleuths Zainab and Denise are shocked to see Bianca’s chipped toe nail. At Dot’s house, having successfully convinced Dot she was ill to take the day off school, Dotty is annoyed to find herself stuck watching the horse racing with Jim so she plots a plan to get Jim sent to the nursing home. She pours a glass of water on Jim’s lap to make it look like he has had an accident. Jim is furious and Dot sees through Dotty’s scheme immediately. Dotty shouts that she wishes her dad had killed Dot. Dot slaps Dotty across her legs, as she turns round Dot sees Sonia looking at her stunned. Max goes to the café and is worried when Bianca tells him the police have a new lead on the murder case. Max grabs Jack in the square and finds out the new lead is a potential eyewitness. Max pressurises Jack to find out who it is. Later Jack tells Max that the police are about to make an arrest. They are both aware they have to keep this from Bradley. In the café, Bradley and Stacey hear Bianca telling Dot the police have a new witness in the Archie case and are about to arrest someone. A panic stricken Bradley flees and Stacey follows. Bianca then tells Dot that the police are going to arrest a Mitchell. Chasing after Bradley, Stacey nearly collides with Leon. Fat Boy makes a comment about Stacey at which point Bradley loses it and pins him up against the wall. Scared, Fat Boy, apologises as Max pulls Bradley off. Max leads Bradley away but they are watched by DCI Marsden. It’s clear by now that she has no new witness. She started the ‘new information’ rumour in order to unsettle the Walford residents and to get her investigation moving once again. After seeing Archie’s poster still intact, Ronnie goes to the Vic and confronts Fat Boy, Zsa Zsa and Leon but Roxy explains that she paid them not to damage it. Ronnie soon loses it and shouts, “What have I got to do to make him die!”. The whole pub stares at her. Billy runs upstairs to tell Peggy the rumour is that Ronnie is about to be arrested. Out in the square, followed by half the pub, Ronnie manically heads towards Archie’s poster to paint over it herself but stops when she sees DCI Marsden waiting for her. Ronnie launches herself at the poster screaming, “What do I have to do to make you leave me alone!” As DCI Marsden grabs Ronnie’s shoulder, Ronnie instinctively lashes out and hits her in the face with her elbow. The crowd gasp as DCI Marsden falls to the floor. Adam asks Libby to help him find out for sure if Minty is cheating on his mum. They search Minty’s house to try to find any incriminating evidence and they find a letter stamped ‘HM Prison’. Libby thinks Manda should know if Minty is seeing Sam behind her back. Adam asks Libby to tell his mum as it would be better coming from her. Understanding how Manda will feel, Libby talks to her in the Vic.
