Peggy reveals to an incensed Phil that Louise is with Lisa, claiming she doesn’t know the address. Peggy assures Phil that he’ll still be able to see Louise. Peggy goes on to reveal that Derek from Social Services is coming over. Phil steals Derek’s briefcase containing Lisa’s address. Having arrived at Lisa’s house, an enraged Phil bursts in, but finds it deserted. Peggy’s wracked with guilt on hearing of Lisa’s escape. Phil holds Peggy fully responsible for the loss of Louise and, to her dismay, he hits the bottle. As a drunken Phil viciously reviles Peggy, Minty and Ricky intervene and manhandle him out. In a heap outside the Vic, Phil looks over to see an equally sorry-looking Rainie. As Rainie scrabbles around looking for her crack, Phil finds it. As she begs for it, claiming it’s the only thing that lets her forget, Phil smiles: ‘Sounds good to me.’ Carol’s suspicions are aroused when Bianca leaves the house wearing sexy underwear and lies about going to book club. Carol challenges her, but Bianca’s insulted by the insinuation. Having been kicked out by Max, Carol’s forced to turn to Bianca for a place to stay. On learning of the funeral of Lucas’ murder victim, Denise decides to attend. It’s a cathartic process for Denise, who finally opens up to Patrick about Lucas. Kim arrives in need of a place to live. Having noticed her missing money, Carol suspects Rainie. Max challenges Rainie but Abi intervenes; pleading that Rainie be allowed to stay. Max caves. Carol’s money is found, but she refuses to apologise to Rainie. Fed up of Carol’s behaviour, Max kicks her out. Feeling for Rainie, Abi gives her money. Rainie later buys drugs with it. Rainie’s drug-taking is exposed and a disgusted Max throws her out.
