Ian’s gutted when Peter decides to stay in Devon. Shirley’s pleased; she can nab Peter’s PE uniform for Ben. Glenda whispers ‘I’ve missed you’ to Phil, he’s angry, Shirley could have heard. With bills to pay, Glenda blackmails Ian. Ben sees Ian heading for Glenda’s flat. Ben confronts Glenda, Glenda realises he pushed her down the stairs. Later, Ben tells Jay what he did to Glenda. When Phil stops her going to the family party at Max’s, Glenda phones the police, she’d like to report an assault. Kat questions Alfie, desperate to know exactly what happened to Tommy. Charlie feels guilty, but Alfie insists he can’t tell Kat Tommy was alone. Charlie alters Kat’s christening gown for Tommy. Kat worries she did something wrong while pregnant. Jenny assures it’s unlikely anything she did harmed Tommy, but they might never know why he died. When Kat asks how a baby can just die in your arms, Jenny tells her to talk to Alfie. Kat confronts the family, Charlie admits Tommy died alone, he was downstairs drinking. Kat’s distraught and insists Charlie’s dead to her. Ronnie can’t sleep and when Glenda drops in, she quickly sends her away. Jack gives Ronnie and the baby some time alone, telling Roxy Ronnie seems anxious. Max and Jack celebrate James’ birth with a bottle of whisky. Roxy tries to cheer up Ronnie. When she comments on how much ‘James’ has changed, Ronnie tries to tell Roxy the truth ‘it’s Tommy’ but Roxy just presumes Ronnie means she’s upset about Tommy. Bianca tells Ronnie she should take the baby out. Roxy backs Bianca up. Ronnie leaves the house and immediately bumps into Kat. The whole family gather at Max’s to see the baby. Ronnie’s paranoid someone will realise he isn’t James, but no-one does.
