Gossip spreads around the square, and soon everyone knows the body was Owen and that Denise has been taken to the police station. Lucas breaks the news to Libby and comforts her. Libby visits Liz, desperately hoping the police are wrong about her Dad, but breaks down when Liz tells her they found Owen’s wallet with the body. When Libby realises that her grandmother sent the police to see Denise, she leaves, furious. At the station, DI Kelly quizzes Denise about her relationship with Owen. The family worry when Libby doesn’t come home, but eventually she does and explains that she’s been to the park because Owen loved it there. Adam leaves after upsetting Libby, suggesting that Owen must have been murdered for a reason. Chelsea notices that Lucas is sweating, and admits she’s worried that Denise might have killed Owen. Lucas insists that Chelsea shouldn’t say anything to anyone, but says nothing to reassure Chelsea that Denise is innocent. DI Kelly asks Denise about her wedding day, and the scene Owen made at her hen night. Denise informs DI Kelly that her wedding guests can prove she didn’t kill Owen. Chelsea and Libby argue, and Chelsea tells her sister all about Trina’s bracelet –if Denise killed Trina, maybe she killed Owen too. To annoy Peggy, Glenda flirts with Phil, appealing for help with her washing machine then inviting him for a drink in the Vic to discuss cars. Ryan tries to apologise to Janine, She insists he take his ‘winnings’ and go. While she’s in the bath, Ryan cleans the flat. They argue and Ryan tries to give Janine back her keys and grandmother’s engagement ring. Just as Ryan’s about to leave, Janine swallows her pride and asks him not to go.
