Lucas looks out over the square, now a crime scene buzzing with people. He seems to agree to Denise’s suggestion of a holiday, but changes his mind when Jordan reveals he’s been having nightmares. Denise tries to support Lucas, packing away Patrick’s alcohol and suggesting to Libby that the family attend bible group. Denise watches as the police talk to Liz and seeing her reaction realises the body was Owen. Shaken, Denise tells Lucas what she’s seen, and is shocked when Lucas admits he killed Owen. At first, Denise’s sure Lucas is joking but is horrified when she realises Lucas is serious - he killed Owen on their wedding day. Lucas claims he was just protecting Denise and Libby. Despite everything, Denise stops Lucas leaving the house and going to the police, they’ll get through this together. As Lucas and Denise pray, DI Kelly knocks on the door, he wants Denise to come to the station and make a statement. As Denise gets into the police car, she notices Liz watching her. Ronnie persuades Roxy to let Glenda look after Amy for the day. To Peggy’s dismay, Glenda does a good job and Roxy’s pleased. Ronnie’s upset when she finds out about Owen, but covers, insisting she feels sorry for Liz. After another argument with Glenda, Peggy claims to have overheard Glenda bad mouthing Archie to Amy. Roxy’s furious and tells a bemused Glenda to get out. Ryan’s staying on the sofa at Pat’s, avoiding Janine. He’s not seen her for days and she hasn’t even turned up for work. Eventually Ryan goes to the flat and finds Janine hiding, curled up in his bed. Leon’s upset when the others talk about finding the body. Later, he tells Zsa Zsa all about the car crash that killed his Mum.
