Update on the 1980s series about a group of doctors just starting out on their careers. John was already 28 and had spent more than a decade in the Navy before retraining. His wife Debbie supported him through medical school but they paid a heavy price for his success, with their marriage a casualty of his long hours as a junior doctor.
