This week, Dermot has live Saturday Sessions from Mika and OK Go and he catches up with Hot Rats. Mika has enjoyed great success since winning the BBC's Sound Of 2007 poll. His debut single, Grace Kelly, sold three million copies worldwide; he won a BRIT Award; released his second album; and presented his very own Radio 2 show. Next month sees the release of his next single, Blame It On The Girls, which he describes as a "riotous glammed-up stomper". OK Go secured their place in popular culture when their creative use of treadmills in the Here It Goes Again video was parodied by The Simpsons. The video has received over 40 million online hits but there is more to this US band than witty choreography. They've played in the chambers of the United States Senate, helped raise money to rebuild the music community of New Orleans, and they've just released their third studio album. Hot Rats is the musical sideproject of Gaz and Danny from Supergrass, who've been working with producer Nigel Godrich. They released Turn Ons earlier this month, an album which re-works classic tracks spanning 40 years of rock, punk and even hip hop, and includes tunes by The Kinks, Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols and Beastie Boys.
