This week, Dermot has Saturday Sessions from Crowded House and We Are Scientists. The current incarnation of Crowded House features Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mark Hart, and Matt Sherrod, who replaced original drummer Paul Hester after his death in 2005. 2007's Time On Earth was the first Crowded House album in over a decade but the band are already back with a new album and tour, which included a recent Radio Theatre gig for Radio 2 In Concert. We Are Scientists' two long-standing members are Keith Murray, guitar and lead vocals; and Chris Cain, bass guitar and backing vocals. They describe their brand of indie rock as being of "the thoughtful, sometimes epic, often loud, vaguely danceable, implicitly humanist variety". In the 2007 drummer Michael Tapper retired from the band, so they added a new drummer [ex-Razorlight member Andy Burrows], and release new album, Barbara, in June.
