Dennis & Gnasher - Rubberbands and Paperclips

Animation. Dennis lives in Beanotown with Mum, Dad, little sister Bea and his pet dog Gnasher. Gnasher is more than a dog to Dennis; he is a kindred spirit. Whatever Dennis does, Gnasher does with him. Together with their friends Curly and Pie Face, Dennis and Gnasher believe the world truly is their oyster and that kids should make the rules. Not everyone agrees, including Mum and Dad. But Dennis and Gnasher are not going to let that stand in the way of their pursuit of fun! In his latest attempt to fly, Dennis breaks his bike. Dad says they don't have the money for a new bike, so Dennis convinces him to ask his boss for a raise. Unfortunately, Mr Scrimp reduces his wages instead. Dennis thinks of a new plan - trashing his house to convince Scrimp that his family are poor, so that Mr Scrimp will feel compelled to raise Dad's wages. Just as Scrimp has been taken in by Dennis' plan, Mum and Dad arrive home, laden with shopping bags. Dad is fired on the spot. As Dad is only interested in rubber bands and paper clips, he is unable to hold down any other job. Dennis resolves to get Dad his old job back by secretly causing chaos at his office. Scrimp needs to restore order to his department and there is only one man for the job. Scrimp promptly rehires Dad, sealing the deal with a generous pay rise. Mum and Dad repair the house, but still don't have enough money to buy Dennis a new bike, instead it gets repaired with Dad's favourite tools - rubber bands and paperclips.
