Animation. Dennis lives in Beanotown with Mum, Dad, little sister Bea and his pet dog Gnasher. Gnasher is more than a dog to Dennis; he is a kindred spirit. Whatever Dennis does, Gnasher does with him. Together with their friends Curly and Pie Face, Dennis and Gnasher believe the world truly is their oyster and that kids should make the rules. Not everyone agrees, including Mum and Dad. But Dennis and Gnasher are not going to let that stand in the way of their pursuit of fun! Walter gets a new games console, to the envy of Dennis and his friends. Walter challenges them to a game, but the stakes are high. If Dennis and his friends lose, they have to go to after-school club. Dennis is shocked as somehow, Walter manages to beat both Pie Face and Curly. Then it is revealed - Walter reads the textbooks on the games so that he knows how to win the most points. Dennis needs to rescue his friends and himself from impending doom spent in after-school club. So Dennis takes himself off to the games console factory to practise on a demo model. In the factory, Dennis uses his skills to evade security and manoeuvre around the machines, unaware that he is being watched. The boss of the factory is so impressed that he designs a game to centre on Dennis. Dennis is given the new game and takes it to after-school club where Curly and Pie Face are with Walter and his friends. This time, Dudley and Bertie don't know what to do, or how to play the game, and neither does Walter. Dennis wins, and he sets his friends free. As for the games console, Dennis has lived it, he doesn't need the computer any more.
