The team is in Croxley Green, near Watford meeting a family whose plans to transform the garage into a granny-annexe almost ended in tragedy. The builder built round the gas flue, and left carbon monoxide pumping into their home. The extension lies abandoned, the front garden is a demolition site - and there's a family wedding looming.
