Leading British saxophonist Courtney Pine returns to Radio 2 for another series of the Jazz Crusade, which features the very best of contemporary jazz and interviews with upcoming and established artists from the world of jazz. 3/6. With music from the late Michael Breker, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and Bobby Broom, among others. Courtney's special guest is Australian jazz vocialist Trudy Kerr. In Jazz Crusade Unsigned, which features the best of the UK's unsigned jazz artists, Courtney plays a track by vocalist Suzanne Bonnar. And recorded exclusively for the programme, Brazilian pianist Eliane Elias performs the track Here's Something for You.
