Donald Macleod explores the life and work of Johann Christian Bach, the youngest son of JS Bach. He dicusses JC Bach's relationship with his most famous pupil - Mozart. In 1764, the Mozarts' tour of Europe took them to London, where, as Royal Music Master, Johann Christian arranged for them to perform for the King and Queen. The relationship between him and the eight-year-old Mozart flourished. The young Wolfgang's chief ambition was that 'my name will be as famous as that of Christian Bach'.
