Defending champion Janeth Jepkosgei of Kenya looks like her biggest rival, having recently returned from injury. The men's 10,000m features England's Chris Thompson, who won a European silver medal this summer behind team-mate Mo Farah, who has opted not to compete in Delhi. An experienced English quartet also line up in the women's 4x100m, an event where the Caribbean nations are expected to take all the beating.
