Australia's women are likely to be favourites in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay, having won the event at every Games since 1990. The other finals are the women's 50m backstroke and the men's 200m individual medley, which was won by Scotland's Gregor Tait in 2006. The athletics action covered includes men's 110 hurdles final, men's 400 semi-final and women's 400 final. Home Nations athletes harbour strong medal chances in the men's sprint hurdle and women's 400m finals. Scotland hurdler Chris Baillie and England's recently crowned European champion Andy Turner are looking to improve on silver and bronze respectively four years ago, while Christine Ohuruogu defends the Commonwealth title she won in Melbourne.
