Matt Edmondson presents a provocative and funny studio game show, which uses unusual tasks and surprising games to challenge the way we look at intelligence. In each show a team of academically brilliant young people, the 'Clevers' take on a team who some might think are a little bit 'Stupid'. The two teams face quirky challenges that test all different areas of their intelligence, rather than simply measuring IQ and conventional intelligence. With the help of psychologists, the games have been designed to level the playing field between the two teams, making it a fair fight. Using games based on psychological research the show tests the teams' creativity, their emotional intelligence, their physical dexterity and practical skills. The winner is decided in a dramatic final round called The Ultimate Mind Game that uses state of the art equipment to test the contestants' brainpower and focus. A team of four call centre workers go up against a musical prodigy, a Latin master, a quiz mistress and a space engineer. The call centre crew want to prove that their brains are not permanently on hold. Among the games - the teams have to get creative and think of inventive uses for a bra and a rubber glove; get practical and remove a wine stain; show emotional intelligence by having a winning first impression; and get physical when they hang out the washing wearing goggles that turn the world upside down.
