Classic Britannia - Adapt or Die

Three-part series looking at British classical music from the end of World War Two to the present day. By the end of the 1970s new music was facing real difficulties when the already small audiences were seeping away. But music was about to undergo a massive resurgence in popularity with a new generation of composers pushing the boundaries of what music could be, establishing Britain as one the most distinctive and original voices in the classical music world.
