Hey early risers! A fun time was had by all on the early show's virtual trip to the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare. 6 Music's secret society of cool music and daft chat, guided by The Hawk and Slev, boarded the magic bus and experienced some top-flight tunes on the way from the likes of The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Doves, Surfari's, The Men They Couldn't Hang and Guided by Voices. Disbelief was well and truly suspended...especially when Chris forgot where he was and thought he was in land-locked Milton Keynes! In other news - the very cool Jay Wynne (yeah, the weather man off the telly) did his forecast with guitar in hand. He is definitely our guitar hero! And friend of the show, rapping comedian Rob Broderick, called in to play The Rockbook Files, which today featured the wonderful Kate Bush. Merry Katemas to one and all!
