Jackie Bird, Hardeep Singh Kohli and Des Clarke are joined by Pudsey to present the 2008 BBC Scotland Children in Need Appeal, aimed at raising as much money as possible to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland. A host of top TV and musical personalities will feature in the evening's entertainment, alongside spectacular stories from fundraisers and examples of how your money is being spent. Live music comes courtesy of Sharleen Spiteri, The Feeling and BA Robertson, who will lead the Tartan Army and special guests including musician Edwyn Collins through a brand new celebrity-studded version of his 1982 hit, We Have a Dream. A plethora of big name celebrities including Samuel L Jackson, Dougray Scott, Ashley Jensen, Billy Boyd, Lorraine Kelly and Edith Bowman have given their voices to the single. Popular twins Craig and Charlie Reid aka the Proclaimers take some time out from making music to tell the powerful story of one of the many worthwhile projects assisted by Children in Need, while Only an Excuse's Jonathan Watson poses as Sir Alex Ferguson being interviewed on BBC's Match of the Day 2, and funnywoman Karen Dunbar goes head to head with TV presenter Angus Purden in the quiz A Question of Scotland.
