Post-hardcore band Enter Shikari will be on rocking out on the show this Friday. Not many bands would have the confidence to approach the Astoria, with its noteworthy capacity of 2000, for a headline gig without the support of a record company. Well Enter Shikari did - and they sold it out before being signed. Formed back in 2003, three quarters of the band actually met at primary school. They've impressed both critics and underground metal fans and are hoping that their forthcoming second album, Common Dreads, follows suit this June. They've toured all over the world, supported the likes of My Chemical Romance and are now set to wow fans at Reading and Leeds this year. We'll be asking them what it's like running their own record label, about being in charge of your own career, and how they plan to stay at the cutting edge of rock. The competition mentioned in this show is now closed.
