Blackpool Medics - Series 2 - Episode 1

BBC film crews return to follow the doctors, nurses and paramedics of one of Britain's busiest hospitals - Blackpool Victoria. 83-year-old Muriel Fancy faces major open heart surgery and two-year-old Lewis Watson is in intensive care on life support, after convulsions lasting a terrifying 45 minutes. Non-smoker Denis Sutton is admitted with a cancerous tumour taking up almost half of one lung, and on the children's ward ten-week-old Kyle is seriously ill. He is tested for meningitis, and his parents face an agonising 24-hour wait to see if their worst fears are realised.
