Big Band Special - 24/08/2009

Clare Teal presents the BBC Big Band in session with conductor Jay Craig. The featured music includes Ernie Wilkin's arrangement of Song of the Islands (Buddy Rich - 1958), Don Piestrup's Goodbye Yesterday (Buddy Rich - 1968) and Tommy Newsom's exciting arrangement of Billy Strayhorn's Intimacy of the Blues, written for Louie Bellson's big band.
