Leaves are falling in the garden and it's time to make lovely leaf mould out of them. Jim and Carole talk autumn compost. Meanwhile, Lesley and Carole get the paintbrushes out and paint everything that's not tied down in the garden, and show how to use paint in the garden to complement planting schemes. Carole and Lesley also set up a bulb trial to look forward to next year and this time it's those show offs, the aliums. George Anderson visits Thomas and Jeanette Dougan in Inverbervie who have a very common but nonetheless tricky garden problem. They have two large conifers that are encroaching on their garden.
