BBC Proms - 2008 - Prom 11: Debussy, Holt and Mussorgsky - Prom 11 - Part 1

Presented by Sarah Walker, from the Royal Albert Hall, London. Colour, both orchestral and visual, is at the heart of this concert which incorporates the first Proms premiere of 2008, by Simon Holt, recently appointed Composer in Association with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. This is preceded by Debussy's Nocturnes, his impressionist response to paintings by Whistler, portraying sky, sea and dazzling festivities.
