Great Britain have genuine medal hopes in three of the five finals to be decided on day four of the World Championships. Christine Ohuruogu won the women's 400m in dramatic fashion in 2007, with Nicola Sanders completing a memorable British one-two. The duo will have their work cut out to repeat the feat this time around, especially as both have encountered injury problems while American Sanya Richards appears to have gone from strength to strength. Philips Idowu won silver in the Olympic triple jump final in 2008. He will be hoping to upgrade that medal to gold this time around; current Olympic champion Nelson Evora looks his biggest danger. Goldie Sayers missed out on javelin bronze in the Beijing Olympics by just 38cm. Can the 27-year-old at least go one better in Berlin? The finals of the men's 400m hurdles and 3000m steeplechase also take place.
