Athletics: European Team Championships - 2009 - Day 1 Part 2

Jonathan Edwards introduces coverage of the inaugural European Team Championships from Leiria in Portugal. The event replaces the European Cup and promises to be an exciting revamp of the previous format, with the men's and women's teams combined. Great Britain are one of the 12 nations to have qualified and the team should include star names such as Christine Ohuruogu, Phillips Idowu and Marlon Devonish. The events include the men's and women's 100m, as well as the women's 800m and the men's 1500m.
