Athletics - 2008 - Great North Miles

Sue Barker introduces coverage from the Newcastle/Gateshead quaysides of the curtain raiser to the Great North Run. The programme has been expanded this year to include two mile runs, and double Olympic gold medallist Kenienisa Bekele from Ethiopia heads the field in the men's contest. Short-distance runners are catered for also, with new men's and women's 100m sprint competitions having been added to the bill. Steve Cram and Brendan Foster provide the commentary.
