Old age in America has undergone a staggering turnaround - for many wrinkly retirees, staying healthy and active is top priority. But across the pond in the UK, young people are living for the moment - partying hard and eating, drinking and smoking themselves into an early grave. In this series, twenty of the unhealthiest young people in the UK were flown over to the States to spend a week living with some of the fittest, most health-obsessed pensioners in the world. In five different retirement communities across America, the Brits were forced to bin the beer and burgers and were subjected to gut-wrenching exercise regimes, healthy diets and soul-enriching volunteer work. Their mentors pushed them to the brink of their physical and emotional limits and, at the end of each week, they took on a crack team of local seniors in a competition to find out if the Brits really were fitter than a pensioner. Here, some of the Brits look back on their time in the States, at both the highs and the lows. We also find out how well they have kept to their healthy habits now they are back in Blighty. Has self-conscious Louise Crossland changed her eating habits for the better? Has overweight Stuart Harding stuck to his new fitness regime? Is hardcore raver Anthony Massey's all-night partying a thing of the past? Has single mum Caroline Miller become a better role model for her three-year-old son? And has socialite Ashlei Swain exchanged the dance floor for the gym?
