Series about the lives and work of six great figures in children's literature focuses on Arthur Ransome, author of Swallows and Amazons. When Ransome wrote the first of his celebrated sailing adventures, he was better known as a war correspondent than a children's writer, and while reporting on the Russian Revolution he got to know Lenin personally and ended up marrying Trotsky's private secretary.
