Each week Aled Jones plays tracks from a broad musical spectrum, that celebrates both our choral traditions and the vibrant world of modern music as well as spiritually uplifting and reflective music. He also discusses religious and ethical issues of the week with faith representatives. This week, Aled says Good Morning Sunday to Loyd Grossman, chairman of the Churches Conservation Trust about his Jewish ancestry and how an American came to be in charge of an English heritage charity. Sister Wendy Beckett, the art-loving nun reflects on the news of the week from a faith an ethics perspective, and gives the Moment of Reflection. All this week Radio 2's Love Where You Live campaign is celebrating the local community. We're asking how well you know your neighbours and hearing the heart-warming stories of the contributions made by everyday people to their local community. The Revd Steve Casey, pastor of a Baptist church in Speke, Liverpool tells Aled why he moved to an estate to take over the running of the church and reach out to the community. Love Where You Live is culminating in the Radio 2 Great British Street Party on Bank Holiday Monday.
