Last Sunday the BBC's seven performing groups all gave live concerts on Radio 3. In this week's Afternoon on 3 Penny Gore picks up the baton to celebrate all seven performing groups with a concert each - from right across the UK and Europe. Today she rounds off the week with the BBC's orchestras based in south-east England: the BBC Concert Orchestra showcasing the early twentieth-century British repertoire that is their speciality, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra with a blockbuster concert from their Spanish tour with Chief Conductor Jiri Belohlavek and soprano Christine Brewer - here heard in the stunning new concert hall at Oviedo in the far north of the country.
