Presented by Ian Skelly. BBC Proms 2009: A Prom in which Osmo Vanska conducts Haydn's 'Clock' Symphony as part of a bicentenary celebration of the 'father' of the form. It is followed by Szymanowski's serene Stabat mater, partly inspired by the tragic death of his teenage niece, and Brahms' Hungarian-accented Violin Concerto, featuring American virtuoso Joshua Bell.
