BBC Prom 2008: Cologne's Gurzenich Orchestra under Markus Stenz makes its Proms debut in a recreation of the 1904 concert in which it introduced Mahler's 5th Symphony to the world. Schubert's songs from the 1904 concert are heard in new orchestrations and Stockhausen's Punkte is included to mark what would have been his 80th birthday. The Prom ends with Beethoven's Leonore Overture. Introduced by Andrew McGregor.
