BBC Proms 2008 A concert featuring Susanna Malkki conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra in five works including the UK premiere of Peter Eotvos' violin concerto Seven, written to commemorate the seven astronauts who lost their lives in the Columbia space shuttle tragedy in 2003. The programme also includes Debussy's Prelude a L'apres-midi d'un faune, Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending and two works by Vaughan Williams's teacher Ravel - the song cycle Scheherezade, featuring mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, and the second suite from the ballet Daphnis et Chloe.
