A Walk in the Sun

Drama about a US infantry platoon fighting in Italy during World War II, from the moment they land on the beach at Salerno to the time they reach their objective: a German-held farmhouse. Following the thoughts of the men as they engage in battle, the film provides a brilliant character study of the frontline soldier and can be counted equal to director Lewis Milestone's earlier 'All Quiet on the Western Front'.
