For the last programme in this series, Jackie presents a review of the programmes of 2007. We revisit Jim Fenton’s translation of Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’, versioned into Ulster-Scots; and we look back at Burns Night when Wilson Ogilvie, former President of the Burns World Federation took Liam Logan to the Burns Mausoleum in Dumfries. There’s music from John Scott Trotter with ‘Jiggin Burns’ from the Ulster-Scots Experience concert in Ballymoney Town Hall last April. In March, Will McAvoy had a chat with Sally Young in Ballywalter on the Ards Peninsula and she told him a wee story about tramps….. In June, Liam Logan was at the Francis McKemie Summer School up in Letterkenny and he took off on a bus run with Belinda Mehaffey from the East Donegal Ulster-Scots Association…. We listen in again on Charlie Gillen’s discussion with Will McAvoy on the subject of dung - and Wilson Burgess reads us a tribute to ‘Our Davy’. We’ve another tune from the Ulster-Scots Experience and we go over the water again with Willie Drennan and remember his visit to Ian McHarg in October before Ian reads us ‘Yin Summer’s Day’ from his collection ‘Fields and Follies’…
