Thunder, Shepherd's Bush Empire, 1994 With two gold albums, nine consecutive UK top forty singles (including two top twenty) and a succession of sold out tours, Thunder are a band who can claim to be popular in the true sense of the word. Formed in 1989 by long time friends and musical collaborators Danny Bowes (vocals) and Luke Morley (guitar), the band were signed to EMI on the basis of a three song demo and a twenty minute showcase. The album 'Backstreet Symphony' arrived in March 1990 and received immediate critical acclaim. 1992 saw Thunder's second album 'Laughing On Judgement Day' enter the UK album charts at number two. Thunder's third album 'Behind Closed Doors' went straight into the UK album chart at number five in February 1994. The concert was recorded by the BBC at the Shepherd's Bush Empire, London on 8 December 1994.
