Swedish electronic artist Karin Dreijer Andersson from Fever Ray and The Knife presents a special Winter Solstice 6 Mix. Gothenburg based Karin is one of Sweden's most prodigious musical talents, famous for her visually stunning live shows where, amongst other things, she dresses up in a wolf mask and gothic makeup. This year she has played at Latitude and Glastonbury Festivals as well as collaborating with Royksopp on their latest album. In this very special 6 Mix, Karin reflects on the Fever Ray project and its success as well as playing the music which soundtracks her Winter Solstice including tunes from Electrelane, Stina Nordenstam, Laurie Anderson and Charlotte Gainsbourg. There's also an archive mix from Karin's other band - The Knife - first broadcast on 6 Music in February 2006, featuring music that has inspired her from Jean Michelle Jarre, the Sabres of Paradise and Plastikman.
