Presented by Nicky Campbell on Tyneside, and Shelagh Fogarty in Edinburgh. Nicky kicks off 5 live's Septemberfest, live from the A&P Tyne shipyard, the biggest shipyard in Newcastle-Gateshead.With BBC-commissioned research suggesting the industrial North East is vulnerable to public sector cuts, local business leaders and employees debate how the region will fare in the spending review. Nicky hears from ex-Newcastle United chairman Freddie Shepherd, and finds out how 100 jobs on Tyneside have been secured - thanks to the Bangladeshi navy. Meanwhile, Shelagh Fogarty is live on Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh, as the crowds build for the start of the Pope's four day visit to the UK. Guests include Archbishop Vincent Nichols, head of the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales (2h 5mins), Monsignor Michael Regan, who's in charge of planning the Pope's visit to Edinburgh (0h 5mins), and Sinéad O'Connor, who has strong views on child abuse within the Catholic Church.
