The Romanians began as outsiders in the 'Group of Death' but it should not be forgotten that Victor Piturca's side got the better of the Netherlands in qualifying. Led by skipper Cristian Chivu, of Italian giants Inter Milan, the Romanians also have a touch of class in the form of Adrian Mutu, back to his best after an unhappy spell at Chelsea. Since winning the European Championship in 1988, the Dutch have reached the semi-finals in three of the last four tournaments. Coach Marco van Basten can call upon some of Europe's deadliest attackers, including Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben.
