Madness frontman Suggs brings stories, humour and his brand of music to a Sunday afternoon as he sits in for Huey. This week he meets Sheffield's new indie hopes The Crookes, a Lamacq favourite four-piece who rather winsomely channel the jingly-jangly indie pop of Belle and Sebastian et al. The band met at University in Sheffield and are named after the Crookes suburb replete with coffee shops and students. Suggs will be asking them about their influences, their upcoming library tour and their plans for a debut album. In 'The Lost Art of Conversation' Suggs is celebrating the joy of the chinwag and encouraging a noted raconteur to move away from their computer, abandon Ikea and indulge in the delight of a Sunday afternoon natter, perhaps over a quiet pint. Suggs will also be asking a listener which record they'd like us to drop the needle on in Vinyl Fetish and spinning tracks from his personal record collection including some choice ska and reggae cuts.
