Noddy Holder, lead singer and frontman of English rock band Slade, and singer-songwriter Kiki Dee look at the Great British Songbook of the 70s. Over three hours, Noddy and Kiki take a trip down memory lane as they play the best British songs from this decade, including suggestions from Radio 2 listeners. With a playlist that includes David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Queen and the Bee Gees, they reflect the work of some of Britain's greatest songwriters and share their own memories from the 70s. Part of the BBC Christmas 2009 season. This is the second in a series of programmes where British artists and DJs reflect on the Great British Songbook of each decade from the 1960s to the 2000s. The Great British Songbook is Radio 2's celebration of the work of British songwriters by creating a collection of their finest songs and holding exclusive masterclasses with some of Britain's top lyricists.
