Aled Jones celebrates the composer SS Wesley who transformed the Anglican choral landscape with his exacting standards and widely admired choral works. Wesley, born 200 years ago, was a special breed of English eccentric, a phenomenal musician and improviser who in turn directed the music at Leeds Parish Church and the cathedrals of Hereford, Exeter, Winchester and Gloucester. Today Aled is joined by Wesley fan Martin Neary who like his Victorian predecessor was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Winchester Cathedral. Also a brief focus on the illegal downloading and photocopying of choral music. Aled talks to Stephen Navin Chief Executive of the Music Publisher's Association, and Hertfordshire choral director David Boarder.
