Ten shy children who love to sing but are terrified of performing in public are put through their paces by choirmaster extraordinaire Gareth Malone. Having already worked his magic on a tone-deaf town, reluctant schoolboys and wayward teenagers, Gareth attempts to build the youngsters' fragile confidence and turn them into singing stars capable of performing in front of a massive crowd - 40,000 people at London's Proms in the Park. The Big Performance singers take on Country Music, as the tour bus heads into the wilderness of the New Forest to get Gareth's group feeling like proper country cowboys. They take on their first ever public audience and it's their biggest yet. Two more of the group are in the spotlight singing solo, and their nerves are tested to the limits when Gareth makes them face their singing fears head on. They're not the only ones who are tested though, as Gareth is met with a refusal to sing which threatens the whole group's performance. In a bid to get his young charges all feeling the part in time for their performance, Gareth invites star of Outnumbered, Tyger Drew-Honey, to help get them into their country and western characters. Will they be ready for their performance, and will Gareth have both of his soloists on board?
