Hazel Irvine presents coverage from the third day of the games. The climax of the men's team archery competition sees Britain looking to last year's silver medal-winning world championship team of Larry Godfrey, Simon Terry and Alan Wills, with commentary from Eddie Butler. John Inverdale and Steve Redgrave are lakeside at Shunyi as crews get a second chance to extend their Olympic involvement via the repechage system. Commentators are Garry Herbert and Dan Topolski. Also taking place alongside the Shunyi Rowing lake are the heats of the men's K1 and men's C1 in the canoe slalom. Campbell Walsh won a silver medal in the K1 class in Athens; he returns hoping to go one better this time. Commentators are Paul Dickenson and Helen Reeves, who won a K1 bronze medal four years ago. In the sailing, the men's and women's 470s and RSX classes begin. Nick Rogers and Joe Glanfield won 470 silver in Athens and Nick Dempsey also won a Windsurfing bronze. Commentary is from Richard Simmonds, Shirley Robertson and Rob Walker. British swimmers Caitlin McClatchey and Rebecca Adlington compete for semi-final places in the women's 200 free heats, commentated on by Andy Jameson, Adrian Moorhouse and Sharron Davies.
